Building strength, character, and relationships through music.

I was honored and very excited to be invited, as a guest artist, to teach and participate in the winter week-long Conservatory Music Camp at The Salvation Army in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The goal was to inspire and assist aspiring musicians by helping them advance their musical skills and develop a deeper relationship with God through Christian music.

The program, opened to those who attend the various after-school programs and ministries offered by The Salvation Army, provided participants with a week-long intensive instruction and rehearsal time in either music, drama, or dance designed to help them deepen their understanding in their respective area of concentration.

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord
. – Ephesians 5:19

These young Christians have definitely shown that they have earned the privilege to be here. They have worked really hard to develop their craft knowledge. More importantly, they really love music and worshiping the Lord. Each student comes with their own individual needs, background, and perspective on things, yet they all have the same common goal. As a professional and more experienced musician, being able to relate to them and help them with their specific questions and needs was the most rewarding part of my contribution. I was especially fond of witnessing their development and growth by the end of our time together.

I hope the skills developed during the program translate to other subjects the students may encounter in the future.
I was honored for having been invited to be a faculty member and for the opportunity this provided for not just me but those attending the music camp. I am extremely glad to have shared my passion and knowledge with those who participated. I am also very grateful for meeting my new Argentinian friends and, more importantly, for the hospitality and generosity I was shown during my visit. Viva La Argentina!
